How do you approach a subject as sensitive as social distancing and mask wearing, as a society attempts to emerge from the shadow of Covid? A warm and light hearted voice of encouragement, akin to that of a grandparent giving good advice, whilst celebrating the collective identity of the city. 

Working with Birmingham City Council, and the 14 BIDs that cover the greater Birmingham areas, Studio.rh developed a bold creative campaign concept, influenced by the sound of the city and the iconic ‘brummy’ slang. Whilst creative direction was inspired by historical print press finishes that pay homage to the cities colourful and creative sights from the past, right through to the current day. 

Through creativity we found a new way to deliver a message that people had been hearing for a while, a way that would make people pay attention, lift spirits and encourage a greater sense of community. The digital arm of the campaign achieved a click-through rate of more than double the industry standard.
